Working with children and young people
Our work with children and young people is award winning. We have two major programmes: Northern Trax, which encourages young people to create their own music, and Northern Art which does the same for art work. Visit www.northerntrax.net or www.northernartzone.net.
The Northern Rail Film Challenge
We challenged students to research, film, produce and edit a short film to educate and encourage young people to stay safe on the railways.
The competition was split into two categories, one for 14-16 year olds and one for 16-19 year olds, and students formed teams of five to ten people to form their own production companies and decide their key roles.

Trakkies - for kids who love trains
Trakkies is a website for kids who love trains. You can play games live, download train models to make or download puzzles and colouring in pictures to do on your next train journey. Don't forget to take some pencils or crayons!
