South Yorkshire Rail Services Continue to be Affected by Flooding

Following last week’s heavy rainfall some Northern Rail services in South Yorkshire remain suspended until extensive work can be completed to reinstate damaged track and signalling equipment:
Sheffield – Leeds via Moorthorpe
- These services are unable to call at Rotherham Central until further notice
- Revised departure times are in operation from Leeds and Sheffield
Doncaster – Sheffield
- These services are unable to call at Rotherham Central until further notice
- An hourly service will call at all stations between Sheffield and Doncaster from Wednesday 4 July
- A bus replacement service will operate between Meadowhall – Rotherham - Swinton
Doncaster – Hull / Scunthorpe
- Services are expected to resume from Wednesday 4 July
Sheffield – Lincoln
- Due to extensive damage to an embankment services are not expected to resume for twelve weeks
- A bus replacement service is in operation
Northern Rail and Network Rail are working to resume normal service as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers. Passengers are advised to contact National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 before travelling.
