NORTHERN RAIL APPOINTS HEAD OF MARKETING

Northern Rail has appointed Gabriella Ellison as Head of Marketing. She will be responsible for all marketing activity including raising awareness of the Northern Rail brand, customer relationship management, promotional campaigns, advertising and sponsorship.
Gabby joins Northern Rail from the Bus Division of FirstGroup plc. She began her career in the public transport sector at the Bradford depot developing and implementing their local marketing initiatives, specifically the smartcard scheme they operated. More recently as Head of Marketing her achievements included delivering a more integrated approach between national and local marketing strategies.
Jo North, Commercial Director, Northern Rail said: “I am delighted Gabby is joining our team. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be invaluable in leading our Marketing team as we build on the successes of the first two years of the
franchise. Gabby will be pivotal in driving forward the customer-focussed approach Serco-NedRailways have brought to our franchise.”
