NEW RAIL SERVICES FOR ALDERLEY EDGE

Northern Rail will be introducing a new morning service from Alderley Edge and intermediate stations into Manchester from Monday 10 December. 

The service will call at:

Alderley Edge                          08.57

Wilmslow                                09.00

Handforth                                09.03

Cheadle Hulme                        09.09

Stockport                                09.14

Manchester Piccadilly              09.27

The 16.37 departure from Manchester Piccadilly to Alderley Edge will now make additional stops at Cheadle Hulme and Handforth stations.

Jamie Ross, Area Director, Northern Rail said: “We’re delighted to reinstate the Alderley Edge morning service following completion of the new signalling system installed as part of upgrading of the West Coast Main Line.  Customers travelling from Handforth Station will also benefit with a half hourly service in the morning peak.”
