Oldham are offering fans FREE travel to Leigh for the televised Northern Rail Cup quarter-final clash with Featherstone Rovers on Thursday, June 4 and charging only ?1 admission for under-16s accompanied by an adult.
This last-eight tie against Rovers, and their Oldham-born star Iestyn Harris, will kick off at 7.30pm and will be televised live by Sky Sports.
The offer of free travel for Roughyeds supporters has been arranged by the club in conjunction with Atlantic Executive Travel Ltd of Heywood, a company which has looked after the club's travel requirements, including provision of the team coach, for the last few years.
The Quid-A-Kid admission scheme was also announced today following agreement between the two competing clubs. Other prices are ?14 adults and ?10 concessions.
Roughyeds chief executive Chris Hamilton said: "The free travel for all our fans is a fantastic gesture by Atlantic Executive Travel, and we are very grateful to them for that.
"We are keen to get as many fans over to Leigh as we can for what should be a terrific quarter-final tie. It will be a big night for the club and we want to put on a good show in front
of the television cameras, both on and off the field. The more fans we get over there the better it will be on a night when the club will be screened across the country."
The fixture is being played at the state of the art stadium at Leigh Sporting Village owing to pitch re-seeding at the club?s Boundary Park ground, which is shared with Oldham Athletic.
