Freddie Shapes Up

Keighley Cougars’ mascot Freddie Cougar has been getting in shape following a strict fitness regime set by the team’s head coach, Barry Eaton. “Freddie piled on the pounds after last season so I set him a series of challenges,” said Barry. “Having followed a strict diet and some hard work in the gym Freddie has succeeded in pulling a car, a lorry and thanks to our cup sponsors Northern Rail he was able test himself against the weight of a commuter train.”
The furry feline is a firm favourite with the children on matchdays at Cougar Park and now the new fit Freddie can make more laps of the pitch meeting his young fans.
