East Yorkshire Round Robin

Scarborough Skidby The Humber Bridge The Deep, Hull

Hull
At The Deep, a glass lift gets you as close as you probably want to get to sharks. The Maritime Museum celebrates Hull's seafaring heritage, and you can board the deep-sea trawler Arctic Corsair. Visit the stylish St Stephen's shopping and leisure centre adjacent to the rail and bus interchange. Don't miss the spectacular Humber Bridge which was the world's longest single-span suspension bridge.

Selby
Selby is dominated by its splendid abbey. Founded in 1069, it was the first monastery in the north after the Norman Conquest and is today a parish church. A busy market is held every Monday.

Scarborough
With its castle, harbour, bays and sandy beaches, Britain's first seaside resort is still a big favourite. Animals at the Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary include seal pups, turtles and otters. Nearby get panoramic views from the North Bay railway of the castle and bay.

Filey
Quaint, traditional Filey is still a favourite destination for families. It has miles of sweeping sandy beaches and you'll have a great time exploring the crab pools on famous Filey Brigg - a rock formation stretching out into the sea below the cliffs.

Bridlington
Bridlington has something for everyone with its bustling harbour, long sandy beaches and seafront fairground rides. Pack your sea-legs for a boat trip to Flamborough Head to see the lighthouse and soaring 400ft cliffs.

York
The National Railway Museum, York Minster, Jorvik Viking Centre, Castle Museum and York Dungeon are just a few of the fantastic attractions to be enjoyed in enchanting York. You can walk the city walls and explore its bars; the city's stone gateways, and shopping along the medieval Shambles is an experience in itself. There's also a huge choice of places to recharge the batteries, from traditional pubs to cosmopolitan cafes and restaurants.
