Cheshire Day Ranger

Explore the historic city of Chester with its Roman heritage, shop in the unique 'Rows', walk round the city walls or take a boat trip on the River Dee. East Lancashire Day Ranger

Clitheroe Castle grounds
You can explore the towns, villages and countryside of East Lancashire by train and Transdev buses all day. Discover the industrial heritage of this area in towns like Accrington which was once the centre of the cotton and textile industry, and visit one of the many mill shops. North West Round Robin

Take the train in either direction on this circular tour including the world famous Settle - Carlisle line. South Pennines Day Ranger

Time restrictions

You can use your Cheshire Day Ranger, Lancashire Day Ranger, South Pennines Day Ranger or the North West Round Robin on trains timed to depart after 0845 Monday to Friday. You can use them at any time during weekends and Bank Holidays. The East Lancashire Day Ranger is valid at any time. There is no Sunday service between Ormskirk and Preston.

Where to purchase

You can buy your Day Ranger or Round Robin tickets at your local staffed station. When boarding at an unstaffed station, or if the ticket office is closed, you can buy them from the conductor on the train. You can also buy your East Lancashire Day Ranger tickets from the driver of any Transdev bus within the validity area of the Day Ranger ticket.

Prices

The prices shown are valid until 1 January 2013.

Railcard and Child discounts

Railcard discounts are available on most of our Day Ranger and Round Robin tickets (where conditions of the railcard are met). Children 5 - 15 years old inclusive travel at half the Adult fare except on family tickets, where no further discount applies. Please see individual Day Ranger or Round Robin tab for more details.

Added value

Your East Lancashire Day Ranger also includes travel on Transdev Burnley & Pendle (Mainline, Starship and Witch Way buses) and Transdev Lancashire United (Spot On and Lancashire United buses) in and around Blackburn, Burnley and Pendle, Darwen and Hyndburn with links to Bolton, Bury, Chorley, Clitheroe, Keighley, Preston and Skipton.
