Everyone enjoys an opportunity to play and you'll be in your element at Magna. Create your own adventure in this gigantic and awe inspiring former steelworks. Explore the indoor pavilions; Earth, Air, Fire and Water, full of interactive hands-on activities.

Let off steam in AquaTek, one of the UK's largest outdoor water play areas and SciTek, one of Europe's largest outdoor playgrounds. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the history of steel making and take a tour of this amazing building with a guide who worked the foundry floor.

March 2011 to August 2011: Open every day 10am to 5pm (last entry 4pm)
Magna will be closed selected Mondays from September 2011.

Closure dates are:
September 2011: 12th, 19th, 26th
October 2011: 3rd, 10th (open 17th, 24th and 31st for Half Term)
November 2011: 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
December 2011: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
January 2012: 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

Please note children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (16+).
Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Directions from Rotherham Central and Sheffield stations

From either of Rotherham Central or Sheffield stations you are advised to take the no.69 bus service direct to Magna.

From Sheffield station walk to the Interchange (about 4 minutes) to catch the bus.

From Rotherham Central, turn right out of the station into the bus station and take the 69 bus (stop C1).
