Visit The World Owl Centre with 50 different species of owl located in the beautiful gardens of Muncaster Castle in the Western Lake District- a hidden gem.

World Owl Centre
World Owl Centre The World Owl Centre, operated by the World Owl Trust is home to the most comprehensive collection of owls in the world - 50 species from mighty Eagle Owls to tiny Pygmy Owls. Here you can see species not to be seen anywhere else; the beautiful, the curious, the large and the small - and most important of all, the endangered.

At 2.30pm enjoy the Meet the Birds Show and learn more about these wonderful birds. Weather permitting, the birds will be flying. Also at 4.30pm is Heron Happy Hour, probably the best viewing point in the UK to see wild herons every day.

The World Owl Centre is at the heart of the UK's conservation-breeding programmes for owls and you can become part of the battle to save these enigmatic birds from extinction.
