Northern are committed to running a safe railway
In order to avoid a slip, trip or fall on our stations please take extra care and be aware of any hazards around you.
During wet weather or the winter months be vigilant for slippery surfaces.
Please report any hazards to a member of staff or to Northern Rail Customer Relations.
TRAINS ON TIME
Northern are committed to running trains on time
Please allow yourself plenty of time to board your train, as rushing causes accidents.
Do not run on platforms, ramps or stairways.
Take care when boarding and alighting trains.
Be aware, train doors will close up to 30 seconds before departure.
ON-BOARD SAFETY
Northern are committed to your on-board safety
Safety notices are displayed throughout our trains for your information.
Please ensure you listen to on-train announcements.
Take care when using internal doors.
Report any suspicious behaviour or packages to a member of staff.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT

Litter bugs us all; please use litter bins where provided, or take it home.
Do not leave personal belongings unattended on the station.
