Get in touch with our online ticket sales team

If you are buying train tickets from our website, for any train operator (not just Northern Rail) and would like some help, have some feedback or would prefer to complete your purchase by phone, please contact us by using, any one of the following methods.

If you want to get in touch about anything other than our online ticket sales (e.g. comments on our stations or trains), please use the contact details on our contact page.

By phone

You can call us on 0844 241 3454 between 07.00 and 20.00 on Mondays to Fridays, and 08.00 and 20.00 on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. We are closed on Christmas Day.

Our agents can help with advice on booking train tickets on our website, planning your journey and amending or refunding your ticket*. If you have bought your ticket already, please have your booking reference (e.g. WEB0001234) ready for our agent.

Calls cost 5.1p per minute from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and other networks may cost more.

* please note that our refunds and amends team is available from 09.00 to 17.00 on Mondays to Fridays (except Public Holidays) only.

For information regarding refunds, cancellations or amendments to your booking please use our online help and support.

By email

You can email us on websales@northernrail.org. We aim to respond to all emails within 72 hours. If you have bought your ticket already, please include your name and booking reference (e.g.WEB0001234) in your email.

By post

If you wish to write to us you can do so at PO BOX 491, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN2 9RE If you have bought your ticket already, please include your name and booking reference (e.g. WEB1234) in your letter. We aim to respond to all written correspondence within three working days.
