Since the start of our franchise in 2004, we recognised the benefits of working together with communities to deliver improved services and we have worked hard to become an industry leader on practical, innovative ways of working with the community.
Through a variety of initiatives such as our Northern Community Ambassadors Scheme and our sponsorship of Community Rail Partnerships, we have made a real difference to communities across the North of England.
The Northern Community Ambassadors Scheme was created to promote the use of local rail services with Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) and socially excluded groups on our network.
